About me…

Hi, I’m Deb Taylor. I live and work in the town of Ocean Grove on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. I have a background in printmaking and currently make abstract acrylic paintings, collages, coloured pencil drawings and play with watercolour and mixed media.  

If you love colour then you’re in the right place! All my work is driven by colour. Whilst I work intuitively I still pay attention to the elements and principles of art and embrace play and chance as part of my art practice. I describe my process as a dance between chance, intention and intuition. 

My works are colourful, intuitive abstractions that communicate the joy of being led through the creative process. Utilising organic forms that may be drawn from the natural world, they possess an ambiguity that invites the viewer to create their own interpretation or understanding.
